Ali Beaudoin is a Portland business owner, educator, and finance professional running for Portland City Council in District 3. He brings nearly two decades of experience in finance, business strategy, operations, and leadership across major corporations, small businesses, and community organizations.
Ali holds an MBA in Finance & Entrepreneurship from the University of Portland and a degree in Economics from Pace University. He is currently the CFO/COO of Beaux Tax, where he advises individuals and small businesses throughout the Portland area on taxes, financial planning, budgeting, and business strategy.
For more than four years, Ali has taught Business, Strategy, Finance, Personal Finance, and Data Analytics at Portland Community College, primarily at the Southeast Portland campus. He mentors students in financial literacy, career development, entrepreneurship, and professional growth. He also helped organize the East Portland Innovation Jam, bringing together students, colleges, mentors, and community partners to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.
Before launching his own businesses, Ali held leadership roles at Nike and Duracell, a Berkshire Hathaway company. His work included business strategy, financial planning, analytics, revenue growth, budgeting, and cross-functional leadership. At Duracell, he developed financial models, managed budgets, negotiated with major retail partners, and identified opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. At Nike, he worked across global teams to develop business strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
Ali has also served his community through organizations including the University of Portland, Point West Credit Union, and the Montavilla Food Co-op. His experience ranges from leading large-scale business initiatives to serving neighborhood and community organizations, giving him a practical understanding of how strong leadership, responsible budgeting, and accountability can make organizations work better.
Ali is running for City Council because he believes Portland needs stronger fiscal accountability, lower costs for residents and businesses, more housing, safer neighborhoods, better basic services, and a government focused on measurable results. He believes effective leadership starts with listening to residents, understanding the numbers, bringing people together, and delivering practical solutions that make Portland work better for everyone.
